KidKare is a school based child care program for ages 3 - 12, located at our BHM Elementary Schools. We are open 6 am - 6:30 pm, Monday - Friday, on most non-school days and during the summer! We are full for the current school year. 

KidKare School Age Care

Extends your child's learning day while providing high quality care in a safe and fun environment. We offer flexible scheduling with before and after school care, non-school day care, and summer care. Our exceptional staff provide a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for your child to enjoy!

KidKare KinderKids

Is our full day care program for children ages 3 - 5 not yet in school. (Must be fully potty trained.) Our staff teach theme based activities that include social and emotional skills, academic readiness, art and science, and learning through play. We offer flexible scheduling with half day care, full day care and care that wraps around your child's ECFE class!

A potty trained child is a child who can do the following:

1. Be able to tell an adult they have to go potty BEFORE they have to go.
2. Be able to pull down their underwear and pants and get them back up without assistance.
3. Be able to wipe themselves after using the toilet.
4. Be able to get on and off the potty by themselves.
5. Be able to wash and dry their own hands.
6. Be able to postpone going if they must wait for someone who is in the bathroom or if we are outside and away from the bathroom.

Summer KidKare Program

Summer care is available in Buffalo, Hanover and Montrose. Our amazingly creative staff keep your child engaged all summer long with a variety of weekly themed activities that include outdoor play, gym games, arts and crafts, science, free choice and more!

Northwinds, Parkside and Tatanka KidKare sites will start the summer combined as one Buffalo KidKare site from June 12 - August 1, housed at Buffalo Community Middle School. The Buffalo sites will be closed August 2 for a moving day, then Northwinds, Parkside and Tatanka will be open the remainder of our summer program, August 5 - August 23. Buffalo families must register for 2 sites: Buffalo and your attending school site.

Hanover and Montrose KidKare are open June 12-August 23.

All KidKare sites are closed June 10, 11 and 19, July 4 and 5, and August 26 - September 2.

KidKare children going into grades 2-4 can participate in BHM Community Education’s Summer SunBlock enrichment program with the price included in our tuition. The Summer SunBlock Enrichment Program consists of three 2-week blocks, Monday-Thursday, 8:30-11:30am. Choose three 1-hour classes each block. More information will be sent after you are registered for KidKare. Hanover and Montrose children will be bused to Buffalo Community Middle School to attend classes. (This is optional this year and only for grades 2-4. Please sign up only if you can attend most days of the session.) 

Breakfast and an afternoon snack will be provided daily. Hot lunch will be provided Monday-Thursday through BHM food services at no cost. On Fridays, you will need to provide a cold lunch from home for your child.

Please provide the following items for your child daily: Water bottle, sunscreen, tennis shoes, and a change of clothes (even the older kids! Spills, rips, and dirt happen.) Please label items with your child’s name.

Our hours of operation will be changing to 6am-6pm starting this summer.
